Hi
My name is Umer & i am pakistani national.Working in Jeddah, Saudia as accountant.i just now got the registeration of ACCA.
As a junior i always think that there is no alter of senior’s advice and guidence.
So how do guide me to start & which book i need to follow first to have the clear idea about Subject. My back ground is Bachelor of Commerce. So how many subject do u suggest me to take at first attempt.
Hi Umer
I took 2 subjects when I first started, but I had no background of accountancy or business at all. You have a Bachelor of Commerce, so you possibly have some exemptions.
Depends which exams you’d be starting with, as to how many you would want to take, and also if you are working full time or not.
I took the first two computer based exams after about 4 weeks of full time study, but I wouldn’t expect to be able to take some of the other written papers after two weeks of study!
Elyse
Hi Elyse,
Thanks for your reply in ACCA discuss,
may I know which publisher’s book you used, BBP or Kaplan?
Hi Kim
No problem!
I’m using BPP, I made the choice based on the fact that there is a BPP centre here in Malta, so it was easier to take the exams etc.
